CHAPTER 1: THE INTERVIEW
Apprentice McNeill was so dapper in his suit, sitting there waiting for me to begin. His eyes seemed a little red around his eyelids as if he had been crying and suddenly I realized the boy’s fear, no, terror in his eyes of what was to happen. I suppose the gossip of the apprentices had not gotten to him or quite possibly they made this ritual to be torture. The apprentice was wringing his hands, hard, and his left leg was twitching up and down, not knowing. I wanted to comfort the handsome young man, especially to the point of wanting to fuck his brains out, thinking that might help him calm down, but that was not my purpose today. I must set aside my own desire. He and I needed to discuss very personal questions regarding his sexual activities and his desires for other boys and men. The other activities would come later, in which I would gladly participate. Unfortunately, his discomfort during this interview encouraged my inner urging to take it further.
Before we met that day, I reviewed his records, kept in his file with the lodge. I learned that apprentice McNeill was from a very strict home, always kept on a short leash by both his father and mother. I can see why. At his young age, he has a very developed body and is very masculine, handsome and alluring to both men and women. I don’t believe he realizes how sexually desirable he is, without the slightest effort on his part.
CHAPTER 2: THE CALLING
It was my uncle, my dad’s brother, that got me into the Order. I mean, he didn’t pull strings or anything. I had to pass the tests myself, but he told my parents that it was a good idea. I would meet some very respectable people and have some “structure in my life.” Whatever the heck that means. Privately, he told me that it was a way to get myself out from under my parents’ thumbs. I wasn’t sure about his first argument. The second? I was all in on that.
There were some introductory meetings. I guess I convinced the Elders that I was level-headed and serious. There is nothing embarrassing on my social media (my parents made sure of that) and, with nothing to do but study, I have a 4.0 grade point average. So, I got selected for an interview. I was close to terrified, but, if I had had a million years to obsess over it, I still would not have imagined it being what it was.
